Water and sanitation are human rights, fundamental to every child and adult. But in Uganda, poor sanitation and hygiene, as well as unequal access to safe is a common phenomenon.

Drinking unsafe water impairs health through illnesses such as diarrhea, and untreated excreta contaminates groundwaters and surface waters used for drinking-water, irrigation, bathing and household purposes. This creates a heavy burden on communities.

Safe Water For Our Communities

In partnership with Australian Government and Global Development Group with our Australia contact, AB smith, MESHCOP was able to build 30 water sources with communities reaching over 10,000 people with clean and safe water.
