By empowering young people to adopt this mindset, we divert energy from despair and blame to a sense of purpose and contribution.
As they begin to see themselves as change-makers, a sense of pride and co-creation takes hold. They’re no longer mere recipients of aid; they’re partners in development, equipped with the power to shape their own destiny. This shift in perspective is transformative – it changes how the world perceives them, and how they perceive themselves and the world!
The narrative of poverty and helplessness gives way to one of resilience, resourcefulness, and hope. Even in the face of daunting challenges, individuals from the most disadvantaged backgrounds can navigate complex societal issues with dignity and determination. Here young boys and girls building panels, lighting villages, creating jobs and the communities and their leaders are happy!
This is indeed building on solid rock – a foundation of self-belief, community, and collective progress.
